John Kerklaan is a friend of Lewis Burns (an aboriginal didgeridoo crafter and longtime friend of ours). Lewis brought a few of JK's "slat wood" didges along with him on his recent trip to the U.S., and now we've got 'em on offer. This one is made of eucalyptus, rosewood, mirante and hemlock wood. It features a smooth and comfortable wood mouthpiece and a clear, conical bore. It is numbered and etched with JK's initials on the bell end. John's are the first slat wood didgeridoos we've ever had that are made in Australia, and the craftsmanship is top notch. The interior bore is very clear which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. Resin coated inside and out (equal to fifty coats of polyurethane) for enhanced sound quality, luster and durability. This didgeridoo is waterproof, less affected by hot or cold weather conditions, and easy to care for, no worries. Natural mouthpiece, no beeswax needed, sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil).

Soundwise: High Quality
This didgeridoo is pitched in the HAUNTINGLY DEEP key of C and absolutely perfect for a beginner level player whilst offering a dynamic range to grow with. This didgeridoo offers warm, smoky, evocative acoustics with good resonance. It likes to be played slowly and offers a dubby vibe that makes it rumbly and grumbly, excellent for evocative riddims and vibrational therapy. You get clear vocals which are great for dingo howls and kookaburra calls. Good backpressure for its size and pitch making the circular breathing technique easeful. Truly a superb instrument at an unbeatable price for this combination of sound and looks, and easy enough for even a beginner player to get the best out of it straight away.
