"Wanapi Tracks"
Concert Quality Australian Eucalyptus Didgeridoo

Watch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below!

Jarrold Appo (Yidinji aboriginal) and his family crafted this awesome CONCERT QUALITY didgeridoo from a bloodwood eucalyptus tree. As a family enterprise Jarrold's family collectively call themselves Naiuwa, which means green turtle in the Yidinji dialect. The family's traditional homeland is in the Babinda Boulders area south of Cairns in northern Queensland, Australia. This is a beautiful instrument with gorgeous wood grain and artwork that has been carved, fire-tattooed into the wood, and then meticulously dot painted to create their signature style. The artwork depicts Wanapi the Rainbow Serpent. See the close-up photos at left for a better look.
This didgeridoo plays with a very traditional acoustic; warm, earthy and a bit gruff with a direct tonality. Excellent choice for a player that wants an organic and not overly-loud instrument. This is a CONCERT QUALITY didgeridoo pitched in the key of D. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece which will be sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil) before shipping out to you. The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly, no worries, instructions included.
We now give you FREE SHIPPING which, for a didge this size, would be around $40 to most places outside of California. The box, bubbles, insurance and delivery are on us. We don't expect that it will hang around long at this price.
Soundwise: Concert Quality
Concert quality sound with a healing vibe. Grittily textured sonics and warm harmonic overtones. Pitched in the key of D which is very versatile. Easy to control volume (a bit of push and it's loud, softly played it's nice and sweet). Myriad tone colors invite surrender, whilst the curvy bore delivers a dark density that offers up everything from far away animal calls to distant tribal chatter effects. And while didgeridoos don't play themselves, instruments like this one guide you intuitively through free form rhythms. The first trumpet toot is warm to the drone and the overblown note is very stable making it easy to incorporate into rhythms. Optimal strong backpressure. Truly a fine instrument at an unbeatable price for this combination of craftsmanship and artwork. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
