Uncle Dags painted this beautiful CONCERT QUALITY didgeridoo with colorful artwork inspired by the desert dot art style. The artwork features hundreds of hand painted dots representing a desert landscape of rolling sand hills and billabongs (water marshes) during the wet season. This style of art evolved from ceremonial ground paintings done with ochre-colored sand, spinifex and feathers. Dags never repeats himself when painting a didgeridoo so each one has a unique story, appealing to those who want their instrument to be one of a kind. Only the highest quality acrylic polymer paints were used to create the artwork on this didgeridoo. See the close-up photo at left for a better look.
This is a ripper didgeridoo that's super easy to play! Crafted from a termite-hollowed woolybutt eucalyptus tree in Australia's Northern Territory. The interior bore is very clear and open which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. The inside is completely natural but the exterior has been finished with a polyurethane for luster and durability. Fitted with a mouthpiece made from organic beeswax. The mouthpiece is easy to adjust for a perfect fit, instructions included. Arrives sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil).
Soundwise:Concert Quality A great didgeridoo at a price that absolutely can't be beat for this quality! The clear, tapered bore offers up vocals that are strong and clear, and the balance leans toward the midrange frequencies making animal calls and harmonics articulate with good projection. It's nice and loud but not bombastic (so you won't scare the cat) and it responds well to any tempo so play it fast or slow depending upon your mood or what moves you. The first trumpet toot is warm to the drone and the overblown note is very stable making it easy to incorporate into rhythms. Optimal strong backpressure helps to make the circular breathing technique easier (even for a novice). Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
