William Edwards Thoren is a Los Angeles based didgeridoo crafter, performer and professional photographer best known for inventing the Multidrone Didgeridoo. WET Didgeridoo is his name-sake brand of instruments. They are hand made specifically for the Multidrone Technique.
William performs with Gorangutang, Parliament Funkadelic and as a solo musician. “My crafting design has co-evolved with my playing style and I believe the only way to push the boundaries of instrument design, is to push the boundaries of what you can play. My first priority in crafting is to make something I would want for myself. Sticking true to my own personal preferences has allowed my crafting to evolve to the point where I am now making an entirely new breed of instruments.”
Early mentors of William include William Barton, Djalu Gurruwiwi, Chad Butler and Ondrej Smeykal.
