This didgeridoo is pitched between C and C# and is from a special purchase of didges by Derwood Yumundi. I'm offering it below cost with shipping included because it developed a few cracks, and somebody out there may love to get it at this price and fix it up. I sealed the cracks with beeswax so I could find the pitch and overall sound quality, but I can't rate this didgeridoo very high because it really needs to be sealed with wood epoxy, get a new beeswax mouthpiece (I'll give you the extra wax), and it could use a new polyurethane finish on the outside. Nothing needs to be done on the inside, no worries. Sold as is.

Derwood does all of the crafting by hand, from sussing out the perfect termite-hollowed trees, cutting them with an axe instead of a chainsaw, skinning the bark and finishing them up. The artwork features a desert tortoise and goanna lizard that have been deeply hand carved into the wood (see the close-up photo at left for closer look). Derwood is a bit reclusive by nature, so our friend Colin drives far out bush to visit Derwood and collect our orders. He also "test drives" the new didgeridoos for us to make sure we get the best sounding ones in the swag. We've been sourcing Australian eucalyptus didgeridoos this way for most of our 20 years in the didgeridoo community, keeping things fair and direct with hand-picked quality and reasonable prices.

As a bonus, we now give you FREE SHIPPING in the U.S. which, for a didge like this, would be around $40 to most places outside of California. The box, bubbles, insurance and delivery are on us.

Crafted from termite hollowed eucalyptus in Australia's southern Queensland. There's heaps of color and interest going on in the natural wood grain. The interior bore is clear and open which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. A semi-gloss finish protects the wood from the elements. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Instructions included, no worries.

Soundwise: Fair Quality

As mentioned above, I'm letting this didgeridoo go for less than my cost since it developed some cracks. There are about 6 cracks from 1" long to 4.5" long, most of them are hairline. I photographed the biggest one and you can see it in the close-up photos above. I did fill the cracks with beeswax and that's how it will ship to you. It's playable as is, but would sound better if the cracks are sealed with wood epoxy and a new finish is brushed or sprayed on. Also a new mouthpiece, and I'll send along plenty of wax for you, no worries. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
