Performance Quality Multi-Drone Didgeridoo

Crafted by Will Thoren

Just when you thought it was safe to say, "Yup, I play a didgeridoo", someone like Will comes along to see how low you can go! Uh, low as in drone, that is. Very low... unfathomable even. So this is a "Yeti" didge made from a storm felled cedar tree with a natural mouthpiece. It plays a normal drone in E, but you can drop a whole octave below that to low E on it.

This didge is customized for a new technique that Will, the Yeti himself, developed to play super low drone notes. The basic technique involves dropping the fundamental drone or pitch of a didge an exact octave below what it normally is, whilst keeping the didgeridoo normal sized rather than 8 to 12 feet long. The concave mouthpiece conforms to your face for a perfect fit, and is slightly larger than most didge players are accustomed too, enabling better lip movement and control for advanced styles.

What a ruggedly handsome didgeridoo this is, not to mention eco-friendly (being recycled from a storm felled tree). The bell or distal end is
very clear and open which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of
tone. Solid, gorgeous
finish. Double resin coated inside
and out for enhanced sound quality,
luster and durability. Features a smooth and comfortable mouthpiece that's been sanitized
with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). This
didgeridoo is
waterproof, unaffected by hot or cold
weather conditions, and very easy
to care for, no worries. |
Soundwise: Performance quality sound. Drone and Drop Octave is in E. First trumpet and most comfortable Multi Drone is in C#. Will says, "This is one of my favorite keys in the multi drone range for the reason that the C# drone is really clear and easy to play once mastered. An all around awesome didgeridoo in every area that can be played slow with power and fast with ease. Nice juicy harmonics and excellent responsiveness to tongue rhythms and rolls. Really nice balance of back pressure and vocal projections which can sometimes be in conflict. Mouthpiece has a concave shape to make the bigger size more comfortable with a better seal. Although the mouthpiece can be played from the side, it is best suited for front of the mouth players, or those willing to make the switch to learn the multi drone. This didgeridoo is almost a replica of one of my personal performing sticks and I just can't get enough of this style. Very user friendly from beginner to advanced even when playing that ground shaking low E note." Please don't hesitate to
