Norm
McDonald,
an alumni of Saturday
Night Live,
was featured on a "My
Name is Earl" episode along
with actors posing
as aboriginal
fellas, one playing
the didgeridoo.
NBC's highest
rated show, the
program stars Jason
Lee as an ex-crook
whom, after winning
the lottery, sets
out to right the
many wrongs he's
done over the
years. The show
is about karma...
very clever, very
popular, and written
by folks from Arrested
Development and Family
Guy.

I (Barry) was hired
as a consultant
for three scenes
involving the "aboriginal"
actors and the didgeridoo.
I taught them how
to create a rhythm
with the didgeridoo
accented by clicking
boomerangs and tap
sticks. The scenes
are likely to be
short "jump
cut" vignettes,
although they took
most of the day
to shoot. I am not
responsible for
the dubious incarnation
of "aboriginal"
body paint (blue
and yellow) and
the giant bone necklaces
worn by the actors.
Having said that,
it was fun to work
on the show and
the cast and crew
are very nice. |
The
episode originally aired
April 19, 2007, on NBC. |

How
many people does
it take
to film 3 guys on

It was awfully cold
that day.
