Check Out Our Big Aboriginal Art Sale!
If you've had your eye on one of our beautiful pieces of aboriginal art now is the time to grab it before its gone! LA Outback has just marked down nearly every piece of aboriginal art in our inventory to make way for future pieces.
If you don't know much about aboriginal art some of the most common styles include Arnhem Land crosshatch paintings and Central Desert dot art. Arnhem Land crosshatch or X-ray style depicts animals or human figures in which the internal organs and bone structures are clearly visible. X-ray art includes sacred images of ancestral supernatural beings as well as secular works depicting fish and animals that were important food sources.
Aboriginal dot paintings are traditionally from the central desert region of Australia and are primarily painted by women in the communities. The designs found in dot art paintings represent dreaming stories that would have been done as temporary art pieces created in the sand.
Visit LA Outback to view more pieces and save up to 50% on select aboriginal paintings in a wide range of styles. Visit each category directly by clicking Arnhem Land (cross hatch), Central Desert (dot art) and other contemporary pieces.
