This long didgeridoo is just over six feet in length and features a HUGE 6.5" BELL at the bottom end. It's VERY LOUD and offers a unique versatility; you can easily play standard drone-based rhythms, but it's also built to respond well to the MULTI-DRONE style. Read what William has to say about it below. It has a wood mouthpiece made from layers of African mahogany and black poplar (see photo at left for a better look) and beautiful natural coloring in the agave skin with all of the checks sealed up tight. There's also a ring of balau wood around the bell for added durability and deco.
William lives in southern California where he crafted this tall didgeridoo from an age-seasoned agave cane. The interior bore is very clear which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. Double resin coated inside and out for enhanced sound quality, luster and durability. Features a smooth and comfortable mouthpiece made of hardwood sanitized withDidgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). No beeswax needed. This didgeridoo is waterproof, unaffected by hot or cold weather conditions, and very easy to care for, no worries.
Soundwise: Concert Quality
William says, "This perfect C# drops to F# and these are complimentary tones to each other... good for recording. Also, it is a surprisingly fast player for rapidly transitioning between the drone and the trumpets, and with a clear pedal tone, allowing a lot of creativity to spark. Liquid Genesis has excellent clarity in the false tones between the drone and the pedal tone, allowing the player to focus on a wide range of subtleties rather than being held to a heavily drone-based style of playing. A good transition between multi-drone and regular didgeridoos." QUITE LOUD and unbelievably responsive to tongued riddims and trill, this versatile didgeridoo offers a BIG VOICE with feisty vocal distortion effects and a grungy tonality. Four easy horn toots, the first being warm against the drone and always ready to go, the third trumpet toot reports like a marie air horn! William asked me to mention that it's tuned to 432 hz, not 440 hz. At 432 hz it's a perfect C#. That's good to know for the serious player that's specifically looking for an instrument tuned that way, but for the rest (most) of us, the tuning is less important than the overall awesome sound that this didge delivers. Truly a fine instrument and on offer for a very fair price considering its sound quality and long length. And remember, we now give you free shipping which, on a didge this size, would be around $45 to most places outside of California. Box, bubbles, safe packaging, insurance and delivery are now on us!
This tall beauty also maintains optimally strong backpressure which helps to make the circular breathing technique easier.
