Thomas crafted this handsome didgeridoo from a tall yucca cane. The tapered bore flares into a BIG 4.75" diameter bell at the bottom end! It features a smooth and comfortable wood mouthpiece made from Austrian pine, and a turquoise stone has been embedded near the bell end for a bit of organic deco. The inner diameter of the natural mouthpiece is just under 1 1/8 inch in diameter which is perfect for a didge of this pitch and size (see photo at left). A double resin finish was applied to protect the wood from the elements. And if you don't like the high gloss finish we can apply a satin finish at no extra charge, just ask. These photos can't do any justice to the true beauty of it. You're gonna be blown away by the looks and sound straight out of the box!
Thomas knows the desert well and selects shapely stalks that have the best potential for didgeridoo crafting. He lives in California and Austria (being blessed with dual citizenship), yet this young man's feet are firmly grounded in his passions and spirituality. Whilst Thomas may be new on the scene as a young didgeridoo crafter, he's making waves both sonic and aesthetic, and this didgeridoo is my personal favorite from a small swag he rocked up with very recently. Keep in mind that these are not available very often, and the one you're looking at here is the only one like it. The fine craftsmanship and graceful curve in the bore offer dynamic, well balanced acoustics. Suitable for any player from the beginner to advanced level. The bore is very clear which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. The natural wood mouthpiece is sanitized with Didgeri-Clean made from tea tree tree and lavender oils. No beeswax needed.
Soundwise: High Quality
With its WARMLY RESONANT drone and harmonics like glass chimes, this is simply a stunning didgeridoo. Unbelievably responsive to tongued riddims and trill, this didgeridoo offers a BIG VOICE with feisty vocal distortion effects and a grungy tonality. Four easy horn toots, the first being warm against the drone and always ready to go. Loud and powerful when pushed, soft and lulling when played with a more relaxed breath. Truly a fine instrument and on offer for a very fair price considering its sound quality and long length. And remember, we now give you free shipping which, on a didge this size, would be around $50 to most places outside of California. Box, bubbles, safe packaging, insurance and delivery are on us!
This tall beauty also maintains optimally strong backpressure which helps to make the circular breathing technique easier.
