"Utopia Dreaming"
Concert Quality Didgeridoo
Fire-tattooed by Noelene JohnsonWatch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below!
This is a CONCERT QUALITY didgeridoo that's easy enough for even a beginner to enjoy right out of the box. Acquired from the Debra Wilson collection, this handsome didgeridoo was decorated by Noelene Johnson (Noongar Aboriginal) in Western Australia. Circa 2002, this collectable instrument is in excellent condition. We haven't had a didgeridoo by Noelene on offer for many years as she retired around 2006. As you can imagine, the time that goes into rendering this artwork is considerable. Noelene uses old wire coat hangers, pulled one at a time from a fire, to apply each line with the red-hot tip right onto the natural wood grain. The fire-tattooed artwork on this one depicts aboriginal symbols for sand hills, camp sites, animal tracks, rocky escarpment and billabongs (water marshes). Crafted
from termite hollowed eucalyptus. The interior
bore is very clear and open which increases volume, harmonics, and
clarity of tone. A satin finish protects the wood and artwork from
the
elements. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted, if needed, to fit you perfectly. Instructions included, no worries. Soundwise: Concert Quality
This didgeridoo will immerse you three-dimensionally in its tonal capabilities as a brilliant instrument that not only sounds and looks awesome, but one that inspires you to explore new riddims and playing techniques because it offers myriad characteristics and is so easy to play. You'll get the best out of it straight away, no dramas. Clear vocals with well balanced acoustics. Spirited and responsive to tongued drumbeats and twang. You can play it soft and easy or push it faster for heaps of booty-moving grooves. Optimal strong backpressure for its size and pitch make the circular breathing
technique easier. With this combination of sound and looks we don't
expect it to last long around here. Please don't hesitate to contact us
