"The Dwelling Place"
Concert Quality Didgeridoo
Crafted by InlakeshWatch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below! This handsome agave didgeridoo has a tapered profile, a BIG 5.25" bell on the end, and Tanya Gerard's artwork that I affectionately call "cosmic dreaming". Beautiful, intricate dot art. The dots and dreaming tracks in the upper mid
section are fine, radiating a sweet symmetry that provides nice contrast
to the elegant serpent that wraps around the lower mid section. The artwork is painted on the raw agave before the
7-10 sealing process giving it enough durability to last a lifetime. The
artwork alone is worth the price of admission.
Rob Thomas and Tanya Gerard have been making and playing agave didgeridoos for many years. Each instrument is carefully and patiently carved from wild harvested agave they personally collect while roaming through the southwestern wilderness habitat of New Mexico. They select only the most suitable stalks for didgeridoos and only after they have completed their flowering cycle and died. Once in their studio each stalk goes through a two to four week process where it is finely sanded, its center carefully carved to allow for a subtle and crystal clear harmonic range, ease of playability and volume of sound. The finished didgeridoo is finely coated each day over a two to three week period with a super resin that is non-toxic when cured. This not only enhances the harmonics but also strengthens the walls of the agave to somewhere near the durability of light wood. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece that's been sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). This didgeridoo is waterproof, unaffected by hot or cold weather conditions, and very easy to care for, no worries. This didgeridoo will ship to you directly from the Inlakesh studio, and our No Worries guarantee and policies apply fully to your purchase.
Soundwise: Concert Quality
Rob says, "A superb instrument with rich, warm bass, punchy mid tones and smooth highs. Exceptionally easy to play, this didgeridoo provides enough volume as to render amplification obsolete when performing outside or with acoustic drums. Back pressure is strong with an even taper from the top down to the flared bottom. This allows for a smooth journey through the overtone toots and relatively easy, random jumps between. These toots are smooth and sound like humpbacks when you slide a little voice into them. Vocals are warm and dynamic depending on how its played. Low grunts and barks reverberate nicely as though in a cave when played softly while remaining crisp and authoritative when pushed." Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
