"Muse of the Hollow "
Concert Quality Didgeridoo
Painted by Lewis Burns (Wiradjuri aboriginal) Watch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below! Lewis is from the town of Dubbo, Australia, about a five hours drive beyond the Blue Mountains north west of Sydney. We've known him as a friend for many years and enjoy having his didgeridoos on offer. And yes, if you know me well, then you know I even named one of my dogs "Dubbo" after the town Lewis lives in. Lewis is a Wiradjuri aboriginal man, an "old school" fella that goes bush to suss out good hollow eucalyptus trees with just an axe and a hand saw (no chainsaw). He decorated this fine didgeridoo with his own hand prints. These hand prints are his "signature". This is a CONCERT QUALITY didge with warm sonics that respond exceedingly well to slow, meditative riddims. Wish we had a dozen of these but there's only this one. Crafted from termite hollowed eucalyptus. A semi-gloss finish protects the wood and artwork from the elements. This didgeridoo features a natural mouthpiece that does not require any beeswax to create a seal with your lips. The mouthpiece comes sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). S oundwise: Concert Quality This didgeridoo delivers WARM TONE COLORS and GRUFF , GRITTY acoustics similar to very fine mago-style didgeridoos from central and western Arnhem Land. QUITE LOUD as well, and perfect pitch in D which makes it exceedingly versatile riddim-wise. You can also bend the pitch downward one whole octave by dropping your jaw as you drone! The shapely bore and craggy walls offer up emotive sonics with cavernous vocals and colorful harmonic overtones that fill a room with ancient vibes. It's rumbly and grumbly with a full spectrum drone that will transport you on a vision quest from the comfort of your armchair. Three horn toots, all warm against the drone. Optimal strong backpressure for its size and pitch makes the circular breathing technique super easeful. Simply a brilliant player and you'd be hard pressed to find another one like it anywhere else.
