"Hibiscus Hollow"
Concert Quality Didgeridoo
Crafted by Robert RemingtonWatch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below! This
is a truly beautiful and finely crafted didgeridoo by Robert featuring a
tapered, very comfortable
mouthpiece made of walnut wood and a BIG 5.5" bell. A hand
tooled leather wrap adorns the top just below the mouthpiece (see the photo at left). The leather wrap has a hand tooled and painted hibiscus flower in relief. Embedded down the front are four red coral stones. You will see
much better detail when you watch the HD video demo at
the bottom of this page, as we zoom in really close on it. Signed and
numbered by Robert inside the bell end.
 Robert
recently retired from a career as a goldsmith and jewelry designer
which he began at the encouragement of his stepfather, the late Frank
Polk, a renowned sculptor and founding member of the Cowboy Artists of
America. Robert’s interest in the didgeridoo began after research into
the benefits of playing the instrument as an alternative therapy for sleep apnea.
 Having
an extensive background in woodworking, he decided to craft his own
didgeridoos from native agave plants, abundant in the Southwestern
deserts of Arizona where Robert has lived for almost 50 years. This
instrument was carefully tuned and given its own artistic touch to make
it not only a quality player, but a true work of art.
This didgeridoo is very light in weight so you can easily take it along
on walkabouts, to drum circles, or jam sessions with friends. Double resin coated inside and out for enhanced sound quality, luster and durability. Features a smooth and comfortable solid mouthpiece that's been sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). No beeswax needed. This didgeridoo is waterproof, unaffected by hot or cold weather conditions, and very easy to care for, no worries.
 Soundwise: Concert Quality
Wonderful ease of playability with rapturous harmonics. This is one of those rare didgeridoos that you'll ache to get home to after a long day of corporate behavior. This sensational instrument offers up deep, haunting, luscious vibes. The sonics are very engaging and responsive to even the slightest vocal sounds and tongued riddims. It's a vibrant player with a live acoustic offering up brilliant harmonic overtones and bone shaking bass frequencies. Two easy horn toots, the first being warm against the drone. Dramatic pitch bend (by dropping your jaw a bit as you drone). Very easy to play for a fairly big didge, and did I forget to mention how beautiful it is? Photos just won't do it any justice, mate. Optimal strong backpressure for its size and pitch which makes the circular breathing technique easeful. Don't wish and wait as it won't last long around here.
