Lewis Burns didgeridooPainted by Lewis Burns (Wiradjuri aboriginal)
Watch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below!

Lewis is from the town of Dubbo, Australia, about a five hours drive beyond the Blue Mountains north west of Sydney. We've known him as a friend for many years and enjoy having his didgeridoos on offer. And yes, if you know me well, then you know I even named one of my dogs "Dubbo" after the town Lewis lives in. Lewis is a Wiradjuri aboriginal man, an "old school" fella that goes bush to suss out good hollow eucalyptus trees with just an axe and a hand saw (no chainsaw). He decorated this fine didgeridoo with a platypus motif. The bottom half is painted with aboriginal symbols for billabongs (water marshes), and the top features Daroo the Platypus and water bubbles that have been fire-tattooed onto the natural wood grain. There's also a tight wrap of jute just below the mouthpiece that makes a perfect place to hold the didge as you play it. Lewis' signature is burned into the wood below the platypus art. See the close-up photo at left for better look.

Crafted from termite hollowed eucalyptus. A semi-gloss polyurethane protects the wood and artwork from the elements. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Instructions included, no worries.

Soundwise: Concert Quality

This handsome didgeridoo offers a gently stirring ambiance in the key of C. It delivers good bass frequencies and crisp vocal effects. Did you know that C is the pitch of the sound the earth makes whilst rotating on its axis? This didgeridoo has warm acoustics and it's oh, so easy to get the best out of it straight away. The resonant, earthy drone prefers to play slow to moderately paced riddims. Fairly loud and powerful when pushed, soft and lulling when played with a more relaxed breath. Beautiful detailed artwork. Well seasoned timber. Three easy horn toots, all warm against the drone. Optimal strong backpressure for its size and pitch makes the circular breathing technique super easeful. Simply a brilliant player and you'd be hard pressed to find another one like it anywhere else. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Read our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Includes Certificate of Authenticity, care guide and playing guide.
