Didgeridoo Display Stand

Kiln dried, resin-coated wood slab with screw-in peg.

We've been wanting to offer this concept in a didgeridoo display stand for many years. Didgeridoo stands like these are available in Australia, but imagine the cost of importing stacks of wood slabs from down under and having to add the cost of freight to your price... it just wasn't going to happen. So it's taken a while to find the right U.S. source for beautiful, kiln dried wood slabs in a consistent size that's perfect for this application. But now we have them!

Barry is making these himself right here at L.A.Outback. The tops are sanded very smooth then stained with a gorgeous golden pecan stain. After that the center hole is drilled and the screw plug is inset with epoxy. Finally the entire top and sides of the wood slab are coated with epoxy resin. A blow torch is used to eliminate the tiny air bubbles for a glass-like finish. This protective coating is equal to fifty coats of varnish, making it water proof and resistant to any warping or cracking. This didgeridoo stand will last a lifetime.

Our didgeridoo stand packs flat for shipping or transporting to and from gigs or jam sessions with friends. The removable screw-in peg is 16" long and can easily be trimmed with any saw if needed. The peg will hold most didgeridoos up to 10 lbs., no worries.

Wood slab: 12" average diameter, over 1" thick.

Beautiful workmanship on this stand. Not sure a picture or writeup can really do it justice. I'm also using it as a rest for my bell while I play. I just fashioned an insert that has a swivel support.
