"Charlie's Sidekick"
High Quality Didgeridoo
Owned by Charlie McMahonWatch a VIDEO demo of this didgeridoo below!
Procure a piece of didgeridoo history for your collection! This well worn didgeridoo, circa 1981, was owned by Charlie McMahon and toured with him back in the 80s. Around that time Charlie (pictured in the painting at right) would have been opening for the Australian band "Midnight Oil". He introduced millions to the didgeridoo back then, touring the world and showcasing the didgeridoo from concert stages to international TV. Charlie is a living legend in the didgeridoo world, and also the inventor of The Didjeribone™, a sliding didgeridoo he created to change pitch mid-drone for accompanying other instruments.
Acquired from a private collection, this didgeridoo has excellent provenance, having passed from Charlie to L.A.Outback by only one previous owner whom I've know for many years. I don't know the crafter, but I know it's made of yellowbox eucalyptus from Australia's Northern Territory. The natural craggy bore delivers a dry, mago style acoustic with good volume. SUPER EASY TO PLAY!
This didgeridoo is light in weight and has taken its knocks well considering the amount of world travel it's had to endure. There are no cracks or patches on it anywhere. Amazing, that. The mouthpiece is fitted with the original sugarbag wax (dark organic beeswax) sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). Soundwise: High Quality
The tapered bore offers up vocals that are strong and
clear, and the balance leans toward the midrange frequencies making
animal calls and harmonics articulate with good projection. It has good volume and responds well
to any tempo so you can play it fast or slow depending upon your mood
or what moves you. Three easy horn toots and strong backpressure which makes the circular breathing
technique easeful. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any
questions. This one's quite a catch and will appeal to collectors straight away. It may not last long around here so order now if you see your
name on it. Read our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
Includes Certificate of Authenticity, care guide and playing guide.
