This vintage, HIGHLY COLLECTABLE, age seasoned mago (didgeridoo) was acquired in Arnhem Land, N.T., Australia in 1998. Ex. Matt Goff collection, this is a rare mago in very good condition. Super easy and enjoyable to play. Ambrose Cameron (birth name Mandilwurra Warray'ngu) was a highly sought-after mago crafter who passed away in 2005. Whilst living in the Maningrida area of Australia's Northern Territory, all of his mago are decorated with nothing more than his own handprints applied in natural ochres (earth pigments). This one is longer and more narrow than the few instruments by Ambrose that have surfaced since his passing. A rare find indeed. It's a fine player with a completely natural termite-hollowed bore crafted from yellowbox eucalyptus. The mouthpiece is the original one Ambrose put on it made of sugarbag beeswax. As always, we will sanitize the mouthpiece with Didgeri-Clean (made from tea tree and lavender oils). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Instructions included.

Truly old school, and instruments like these are getting harder to find these days. Hand prints have been used as signatures in rock art all over the world, but nowhere more prevalent than Australia, especially in the ancient caves of the Northern Territory. There has never been any kind of finish (oils or polyurethane) on the inside or outside of this fine mago and none are called for or recommended.

This mago was crafted from termite hollowed yellow box eucalyptus. Suitable for any player from the beginner to advanced level. The bore is very clear which increases volume, harmonics, and clarity of tone. Fitted with an organic beeswax mouthpiece sanitized with Didgeri-Clean (tea tree and lavender oil). The mouthpiece can easily be adjusted to fit you perfectly. Instructions included, no worries.

Soundwise: High Quality

This one offers a BIG voice for a narrow-neck mago, probably because the walls are quite thin allowing it to reverberate so well. It's feisty with aggressive distortion effects and a resonant, rocket ship drone that'll peel the paint off your walls. Loud and powerful sonics. Likes to play slower, more meditative riddims, so it's one to relax with. High frequency insectile buzzes and whip-snapping response to tongued and diaphragmatic riddims. Two easy horn tones, the first being very bright against the drone and always ready to toot. Good backpressure for its size and pitch (making the circular breathing technique easier). Optimal strong backpressure which makes the circular breathing technique easeful. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like a demo over the phone. This one's a beauty and it may not last long around here so call straight away if you see your name on it. Read our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Includes Certificate of Authenticity, care guide and playing guide.
